Please read these terms carefully before making your initial payment. By making the initial payment, you agree to these terms in full.

We provide assistance to litigants in person during court proceedings in UK mainland. We are not solicitors or barristers and therefore we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). We do not conduct reserved legal activities or provide legal advice. Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice. If in doubt, please seek independent legal advice.
Terms of Service
- Our fees include travelling and accommodation expenses.
- No additional costs apply if your remote hearing is rescheduled.
- No additional costs apply if your attended hearing is rescheduled. However, travel and accommodation will be charged at £99.
- You pay an initial 50% upfront fee to kick start your matter. The remaining payment can be agreed to suit your budget.
- A £99 service charge will be deducted from a refund if you no longer need us for any reason.
- A £99 service charge will be deducted from a refund if we have booked a slot to attend your remote or physical hearing and you no longer need us for any reason.
- Our prices do not include any court fee. You pay this directly to the court. We can assist you in how to make this payment.
- We will respond to your email and call back request within three working days. This is free.
- Phone calls are limited to one call per day per person. Once you have engaged us, you are entitled to ring us once a day between 10:00am and 4:00pm. Additional phone calls are charged at £99 per hour on a pro rata basis. For example, for a five minute phone call you will pay £5. This will be confirmed to you at the start of the call.
- You can request amendments to any document or application drafted by us twice. Any further amendments are charged at an hourly rate of £99 on a pro rata basis.
- You can withdraw your instructions at any time in accordance with these terms and conditions.
- We will always act in our client's best interest. However, we cannot be held liable for any decision made by the court, the client or any other party involved in the court proceedings.
- We will keep your documents and data confidential. However, we may need to share it with other paralegals, legal advisors, solicitors or barristers to seek their input to help with your case. We may also need to share it with authorities if we have reason to believe that you or any child is at risk of any type of harm.
- If we are not able to attend court for any reason, we will issue a full refund, which can take up to five working days to reach your account. We may be able to offer you a substitute, but that is subject to availability.
- We reserve the right to terminate service at any time. In that case we will issue a full refund, which can take up to five working days to reach your account.

Our Storage & Confidentiality Policy
We will try to store your data and documents on our system and cloud for a period of two years. However, this is not guaranteed. Due to any known or unforeseen circumstances or space limitations, if your data is lost, erased or deleted, we cannot be held liable for it. We also reserve the right to delete your data and shred your documents without giving you any notice.
Ultimately, you are responsible for keeping a record of your documents and data and must not rely on us in any event. Once a document has been sent out to you by any medium, including but not limited to email, post or WhatsApp, it will be considered in your possession and you will be responsible for its storage.

We may need to disclose your information to authorities and regulatory bodies without your consent and notice.

Any complaints can be emailed to contact@mylegalfriend.co.uk and we endeavour to address your issues within ten working days.
